_Jasmine is my primary foundation doe and herd queen. She and Jasper were my first goats. Jasmine is reserved and even tempered. That is, until she wants her way and then the diva comes out! Jasmine is angular and dairy while retaining good body depth and fantastic width thoughout, and I love this doe's rump. I would like to see a smoother, more level topline, but really, I'm very, very happy with her just the way she is.
Jaz has a lovely udder. She is high, wide, nicely attached, with beautiful shape and balance, outstanding medial, good capacity, easy to milk teats. Her second freshening she earned her milk star for butterfat, and is turning out to be the steady, level producer I'd hoped. The best part, though, is she produces the best tasting milk I've ever had! A big thank you to Quail Run Hollow for helping me get started with such a fantastic doe.
Jasmine's sire, Riot, has earned his +B for milk-producing offspring, and both paternal grandsire and granddam have been awarded Superior Genetics designations. Riot is a full sibling to SGCH Pholia Farm KM Harriet, a top ten breed leader. Riot's littermate sister, SG Pholia Farm KM Fraulin, has earned her Superior Genetics as well and just finished her permanent championship.
Jasmine's first time in the show ring she was first in a competitive class of two year old milkers. Her second time out, again against some very nice does, she earned her first leg, winning Grand Champion and Best of Breed! Jasmine just gets better with age, easily finishing her permanent championship at age 4, and achieving a final linear appraisal score of EEEE 91 at age 5. Jasmine is now an aged doe, looking lovelier than ever, showcasing the kind of soundness and longevity we strive for.

Flicker is my little white shadow - she follows me everywhere, even sneaking out of her pen to "help" me with chores. She's a visitor favorite, endearing herself immediately to everyone she meets - more than once someone has threatened to sneak her home in the trunk. While she has personality in spades, she's also well put-together and has some great milking bloodlines to boot. She's wonderfully angular, feminine and dairy, looking much like a tiny Saanen - and this tiny doe wants to milk like one, too. As a 3rd freshener, she produced 4-5 5lbs a day when milked twice a day. Milking once a day halfway through her lactation, she milked a steady quart daily as a 5th freshener.
Flicker has a fantastic udder. Very broad overall area of attachment, excellent fore and medial, great side and very good rear attachment, nice teats and placement, milks out well. She usually stands in the top 3 in the line at shows, and often wins best udder in class even if she isn't in first place. She recently won Best Udder in Breed over 37 entries. As a 3yr old she blossomed - and in a big way! Her first show that year with over 40 milking does entered, she easily won Grand Champion in all 3 rings.
Her sire has both his permanent champion title and Superior Genetics designation. He has produced two permanent champion does to date, one of which (Pholia Farm HB Angelica) has already earned a Superior Genetics designation. Her dam, Pholia Farm DB Honeycomb, has a wonderfully attached and productive udder, and did well on the milking string for Pholia Farm, a Grade A creamery. Honeycomb has her milking star and was recently awarded her Superior Genetics as well. I am so pleased to have both Flicker and Honeycomb - thank you Pholia Farm!

_Lucy Lu Lu is sensitive and affectionate. She promised to be very dairy and elegant as a doeling, and didn't disappoint. She has lovely general appearance and excellent dairy character, with that long flat bone, smooth blending, long stretchy neck and sharp withers. She has excellent feet and legs, too. I'd like to see more spring of rib and higher thurls, though her overall pelvic structure is very sound as evidenced by her easy kidding abilities.
Lucy has a really nice udder. Good teat length and wonderful orifices, good medial, nice globular shape, well attached and great capacity. Her foreudder improved mightily with her second freshening. I would still like a bit better udder height, and a bit more medial. She is a solid steady milker like her dam.
Lucy does not show very well -she turns into a hunching, crouching, and completely terrified lump of goat. She's a high quality doe, but we keep her home now as she never could get used to showing or carrying a full udder. Lucy is a pleasure to milk and makes stunning babies which are winning in the show ring and milking great, so we are happy to let her stay home and be a mom and milk goat. Lucy appraised "excellent" with a score of 90 in 2014. In 2016 she just wasn't herself at appraisal, looking a little tired out and not carrying much milk as she was getting stale. This of course had an unfortunate impact on her score. Scores aside, Lucy has certainly proven herself with her offspring, and that is what matters most. She will always have a special place in our herd and our hearts.

Hermione was always a beautiful kid, and is growing up to be a gorgeous doe. She has all of her mother's good traits; great depth and width of body, lovely general appearance, straight legs, good feet. Her sire also gifted her with improvement in length and sharpness over the withers, buttery-soft udder texture and longer teats. Hermione has the kind of rump w are looking for: wide and level from hips to pins and thurl to thurl. Her final score on linear appraisal was EEEV 90 - "Excellent", with an Excellent for rump structure! Better yet, she passes on that lovely rump onto her kids. Hermione is a strong milker, who seems to get better each year. She is milking better than ever as a 5 year this year!
