Sans Gene Tootsie - $350
Redstone Nigel Gacrux *B X Sans Gene EF Clementine DOB 6/7/2024 chocolate and cream sundgau/swiss marked
ADGA Pedigree link HERE
Tootsie is a very pretty and correct June baby. She has been dam raised and handled since birth. She is friendly and tame, and enjoys pets and scritches. Like her dam, she can be a little timid when outside her comfort zone. Her pricing reflects that she could do with a little more people time. I'm very impressed with Tootsie and she has a spot on my show string, but could let her go a loving, performance-minded (milk test and/or show) home, especially if she can go with one of my other does available.

Sans Gene PN Layla $375 - CONFIRMED BRED to Sans Gene E Walnut, due 3/27/2025
DOB 6/23/2022 Dark buckskin with splashy white broken belt
Redstone Nigel Gacrux *B X Sans Gene K Portlandia ADGA Pedigree for Layla HERE
ADGA Pedigree link for Layla X Walnut kids HERE
There is so much to like about Layla. She has a wonderfully high, wide arch and nice sized teats. Layla should excell on the milk stand, and stylish enough to take to a show or two. She's a smaller, more compact doe yet quite dairy. Layla is a very sweet doe who enjoys pets and cuddles, and does best with a quiet, gentle approach. So much to like about Layla- this is a "cull until you cry" moment as I must cut numbers. Layla missed getting bred last year, and her pricing reflects she is a little late to the first freshening party, though as a late june born doe she'll still freshen as a 2 year old. I'd love to see Layla go with a friend - she'd be great with any of the others I have on offer!

Sans Gene Joy $350 - CONFIRMED BRED to Sans Gene E Walnut, due 5/1/2025
Little Joy Joy is an August 2023 kid. Her dam had lovely general appearance and dairy strength. Another I'd hold onto if I didn't really need to cut numbers. She is tame, will come up for pets, but a little shy- though she warms up pretty fast when given regular attention - and her price reflects that she'd benefit from daily people time. Joy carries well known foundational breeding up close in her pedigree with 2+year extended lactations on both sides. I'd planned to keep Joy through kidding and offer her as milking yearling, but she can go now to the right situation.

Sans Gene EF Clementine $450
DOB 4/8/2022 chocolate and cream sundgau/swiss-marked
Castle Rock Elika +B x Sans Gene Z Fancy Adga Pedigree link HERE
Clementine is a lovely Castle Rock Elika daughter out of one of my favorite does, Sans Gene Z Fancy, the only daughter I have from Sans Gene Ziggy Stardust. Clementine is a very refined, deer-like doe. She very sweet and friendly when she feels calm and safe. She can be a little timid when outside her comfort zone, though easy to handle regardless. She freshened June 2024 with a well attached, buttery soft udder. Due to life circumstances, I was not able to really milk Clementine, and let her just raise her kids. Her daughter Tootsie is still with her, and could go with her as a package deal. While I'd like to keep Clementine, I can let her go to the right home where she will get more individual attention. I strongly prefer Clementine go with another doe from my herd as a companion if her daughter does not go with; she and Layla would make a great pair! Clementine is a tad on the lean side from feeding her kid so well, and is still in milk. While her weight is adequate, we feel she'd benefit from a little more condition before being bred again, so she has remained open this fall.

She milks by machine or hand. Very easy to hand milk, lovely udder texture and nice attachments. She gets along great with her Nigerian herd mates. Falcon has blue eyes and wattles too. She is unregistered, but could possibly be reg with MDGA. I'm extremely fond of her and looking for a home that will treasure her for years to come. Additional photos available to serious parties.

Maude's pedigree Click HERE Pedigree of buck Maude is bred to Click HERE
Maude is a little more compact than her half sister Falcon, but no less dairy. She is well balanced, angular, with a lovely front end assembly. We love her depth of body and width, not to mention her beautiful head. Gets along great with her Nigerian herd mates. She's an all around really nice doe we'd be keeping if we were continuing with the mini breeds.

Other Does
Hyacinth, DOB June 2022 - Hyacinth is a small doe and will likely stay small. She is wide enough in the hips and big enough to have kids, but I'd just as soon rehome her as a pet. She is a friendly and affectionate girl. $200 without papers, $350 with papers at time of initial purchase.
Hyacinth and Foxy, listed below, would be a great together and will discount for the pair!
Foxy - DOB April 2023 - Foxy is a very pretty, very friendly chamoise yearling with blue eyes. She has a small extra teat on her mammary that should not interfere with milking. While this type of teat defect does not disqualify a doe from registration, it is a fault that should be considered carefully in registered stock. Foxy is offered $200 without papers. Possible option of purchasing her papers at a later date to the right home who understands all buck kids should be wethered. Foxy is a personal favorite and I'll be a little picky on where she goes. I'll be quite happy to have her be in a pet home as a treasured goat friend who is never bred. Love to see her go with Hyacinth, above.
Older ladies -
I have a few does that are a neither young nor old, but I've chosen to retire from breeding early that would make the most wonderful farm companions. While they will always have a home here, I would place them in an adoptive home where they would get lavished with love and attention. Because they are more mature, they are less busy than younger goats, content to munch their hay, lie in the sun, or hang out with you on the porch with their head in your lap. We are quite experienced at caring for aging goats now, and find that it's actually much easier than caring for aging house pets, and of course we will always be there to support adopters. Adoption fee is very minimal, and exists to help cover costs in the case the doe(s) must be returned to us. So if a couple of sweet gentle ladies sound like a good fit to you, we'd love to talk with you!

BUCKS
Redstone Nigel Gacrux *B - SOLD
This guy worked himself out of a job. We kept a son and 8 daughters! He has several freshened daughters and they are all showing that tightly attached, capacious mammary, nice sized teats, and fabulous production the Redstone herd is known for.
Gacrux improves front end assembly, including correctness in front leg placement, brisket, and sharp, smooth blending at the withers. He puts straight legs and good feet on, and his daughters are deep and long in the body and angular in their bone pattern. His kids do take a little longer to grow up and mature, but it's totally worth it. We've noticed they are very thrifty and have good parasite resistance. He collected extremely well, with 78% motility. Last but not least, Gacrux is an easy going, friendly buck that is very easy to handle. He will follow me around the buck pasture like a puppy, but is always respectful (we insist on good manners from our bucks!) He is the dominant buck in the buck herd, but is not a bully. Gacrux truly is a buck deserving to put his genetics out there. He's offered at a competitive price point for a buck of his caliber, as we'd really like to see him placed and working this fall. His DNA is on file, and we will send him with a current CAE test at no charge to buyer. $850, neg to a great home, especially if participating in DHIR milk test and/or LA |
