Poppy Patch HB Honey Bear +B
DOB: 4/22/2013 FS83 (+EV ) @ 03-05 *DNA*
Sire: Algedi Farm MB Honeymoon Bay ++*B (Twin Creeks BW Montego Bay *B++S X CH Rosasharn's UMT Tupelo Honey 4*D EEEE 91) Dam: Algedi Farm DJ Just Like Honey (GCH Algedi Farm Drops of Jupiter ++*B x SGCH AGS Rosasharn's UMT Tupelo Honey 4*M EEEE 91 @ 07-05) Bear to join our herd fall of 2019. Bear is the paternal half brother to one of our very influential foundation bucks, Poppy Patch HB Evel Knievel. I had seen Bear's dam, Honey, and shown against his full sister, CH Poppy Patch HB Lady in Red, and I knew what an incredibly strong damline he comes from. Bear has proven that out, siring outstanding daughters for the Hetland Creek and Leisure Time herds. Bear has proven to throw Excellent class mammaries, wide, long level rumps, and that classic dairy general appearance his bloodlines are known for. Bear is quite friendly and easy to handle, and ever the gentleman to the ladies, qualities we really value in our boys. Many thanks and much gratitude to Hetland Creek for the opportunity to bring Bear into our herd, and be his forever home. |

DOB: 4/12/13 Sire: Poppy Patch HB Evel Knievel VEE 90 +B Algedi Farm MB Honeymoon Bay + + *B (Twin Creeks BW Montego Bay*B ++S x CH Rosasharn's UMT Tupelo Honey 4*D EEE 91) CH Honey Goat Domingo (Honey Goat Mt. Carmel X Sugar Creek MT Tressa) Dam: GCH Caprinos RI Night Jasmine 1*M EEEE 91 Pholia Farm KM Riot +*B V+E 87 Goodnight Tahoma Violet +VE+ 84 What's not to love about Voyager? He's dairy. He has great conformation. He has a wide rump and nice thurls, and his escutcheon reminds me of a train tunnel it is so high and open, which he consistently passes on. Love the ribbing and bone, and buttery soft, milky, glued-on udders he puts on his daughters. Voyager doesn't have a ton of daughters out there, but we are so pleased with how they have done. Here are some of their accomplishments so far: Sans Gene V Caramel Apples: Jr Grand Champion and Best Jr. Doe in Show, NWODGA, Salem OR 50+ and 150+ entries, respectively. Sans Gene V Chloe: Reserve Jr Grand Champion (behind Caramel) Sans Gene Red Velvet Cake: 5th place intermediate kid at 2017 Washington State Fair (21 in her class, her first time shown), owned and shown by R Serenity Farm. Sans Gene V Tequila Sunrise Jr. Grand Champion at SWWDGA May 2018, and 3rd place at Washington State Fair as a first freshener Sept. 2018! Owned and shown by Stayawhile Farms. Multiple time 1st placings as 2 year old milker in very large (20+) classes. and his full brother's daughter, Double Shot BB Wild Fire: Jr Grand Champion at 2017 WA State Fair, owned and shown by R Serenty Farm. Loving the mammaries on the daughters I've freshened so far! |

Castle Rock Elika *BDob 3/3/2015
Sire: Castle Rock Cleveland Sage +S*B Castle Rock Tanzanite ++S*B X SGCH AGS CRF Castle Rock Alum Root 1*M AR Dam: GCH Castle Rock Annika 2*M AR Rosasharn TL Sitka Spruce ++B X GCH CRF Castle Rock Roxanne 1*M AR We are very excited to have had Elika, aka "Eli" join our herd this fall. A big thank you to our friends at E.K. Farms for entrusting him to us. Eli is a full brother to SGCH Castle Rock Angelika . The mammaries behind this boy speak for themselves. Eli is very long and level across the topline, and smooth and flat thurl to thurl. He has nice straight front legs, beautiful angulation in his rear legs, and good feet. Eli is only two, and already very pleasing to the eye. We are excited to see him mature further. We think he is going to be an excellent cross with our does. |

Wild in Wild K Drifting Blues *B
DOB: 5/5/2018 Sire: Minter Bay HK Kane * B Stayawhile GK Hiraku *B x GCH Herron Hill CJ Cora Belle 1*M, ADGA DHIR Top Ten 2012 Dam: SG Wild in Wild OK Maggie Mae 1*M VEEE 90 @ 04-02 Sans Gene K Heart of Oak *B X SG TNR CT Cinderella Pictured at 4 1/2 months old Sometimes an animal comes along that is so special, it makes you break your own rules.
I promised myself I would not bring in anymore bucks this year. And I personally don't care for blue eyes or waddles or really splashy markings. Then I went over to see my friends at Wild in Wild farm, and laid eyes on Drifter's dam, Maggie. I could not take my eyes off of her. Nose to tail to mammary, Maggie is what I envision a Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goat should look like and milk like (she starred on a one day test, and 305 day test, milking ONCE a day!) She is sweet as pie, too. Since I couldn't bring Maggie home in the car with me (I tried... I really tried!), I looked at her son. Who happened to be available. And happened to be built A LOT like her. And whose sire, Kane, is out of a top ten milking doe I got to admire in the show ring a time or two. I packed Drifter home, my rule broken, and have zero regrets. Drifter is maturing true to his lovely lineage, and has his mom's sweet, gentle disposition. So I can forgive Drifter for being about as "bling-y"as a goat can get, because plain wrapper or fancy, underneath he is the right stuff! A big thank you to Wild in Wild Farm, for letting me bring home this beautiful, sweet boy. |

Sans Gene DE On The Bayou
DOB 4/10/2015 Color: solid black Sire: Sans Gene GT Doppler Effect *B VEE 88 Caprinos TMM Renegade LA VEE 89 +B GCH Caprinos RI Night Jasmine 1*M EEEE 91 Dam: CH Sans Gene K Zydeco 3*M EEEV 91 FS Caprinos TMM Lucienne 2*M FS 87 Poppy Patch HB Evel Knievel VEE 90 +B George is an awesome guy; wide and powerful, yet surprisingly dairy when you get your hands on him. I love that he has his dam's sweet, gentle disposition. Great rump structure on this buck, wide with length and level across the thurls, and he is a go-to to widen and flatten out a rump and round up and out an escutcheon. Excellent feet and legs too. He is full sibling to Sans Gene DE Delta Blues VVEE 89. Unfortunately I have yet to get a decent picture of him. He very much favors his dam Zydeco, pictured after winning her final leg as a 3 year old.
His daughter Sans Gene OTB Snowdrops appraised VVVV 87 as a first freshening 2 year old, and has two Reserve Ch ribbons, only going to 3 shows. We are WILDLY excited about this doe, and about using George more extensively in our breeding program. |

Sans Gene DE Storm Watch *B
DOB 3/23/15 Dark gold and white pinto Sire: Sans Gene GT Doppler Effect *B VEE 88 (Caprinos TMM Renegade +B LA 89 X GCH Caprinos RI Night Jasmine 1*M EEEE 91) Dam: Sans Gene K Firefly 4*M VVEV 88 (Poppy Patch HB Evel Knievel +B LA 90 x GCH Pholia Farm HB Flicker 3*M VEVE 90) Firefly, Stormy's dam, despite being one of the smallest does in my herd, is among the milkiest. Milked twice a day she easily produced at or even over half a gallon. Stormy's sire, Doppler Effect, is throwing really nice mammaries and conformation, improving rumps, teat length, and general appearance while maintaining dairy strength. Stormy looks a lot like his dad, with just a touch more refinement, and a sweet, gentle temperament. Firefly had a horrendous kidding in 2016, resulting in an emergency C-section. She was saved, but sustained extensive damage to her reproductive system, and was partially paralyzed for weeks afterward. Nevertheless, she demanded to be milked despite all of that, and happily produced enough to earn her milk star before work schedules forced us to dry her off early. She even beat her dam Flicker for day-t0-day volume. She then went on to score VVEV 88 on appraisal only 3 months after her surgery! Stormy is her only buck kid, and we are extremely grateful to have him to carry on Fly's legacy. Stormy has two maternal sisters, Sans Gene Princess Buttercup and Sans Gene DE Rain Dance - who are among my top milkers. His daughter Sans Gene ST Lady Stardust, owned and shown by R Serenity Farm, earned her Jr Ch leg this summer, and then took Best Jr Doe in Show! Sans Gene ST Twinkletoes, another Stormwatch daughter out of Sans Gene GT Hermione, has shown very, very well as a junior, winning her age classes and showing us that "big goat look" in a small package we are aiming for. Stormwatch will be used quite a bit in fall 2019; |

Sans Gene GT Ziggy Stardust *B
DOB 6/23/2016 Sire: Caprinos TMM Renegade VEE 87 +B Sugar Creek MT Tell Me More ++B LA 89 X Poppy Patch Calamity Jane 1*M LA 90 Dam: GCH Pholia Farm HB Flicker 3*M VEVE 90 SGCH Piddlin Acres Hit the Bullseye ++B X SG Pholia Farm DB Honeycomb 4*M LA 84 Ziggy Stardust, or "Peanut" around the farm, is a complete and utter charmer. He is the first to come running to the fence to say hello, and gentlest to handle when time to go visit the ladies. He has wonderful length of body, legs set well under him, angular and very open in the ribs. He is an excellent compliment to our more powerful does, and we hope he passes on his dam Flicker's mammary - an asset to any pairing. Peanut's first kids hit the ground, and we were impressed! And then we freshened a couple, and were even more impressed. These are later maturing lines, but all the right parts are in the right places. We are especially excited about Sans Gene Z Fancy. Peanut is definitely going to get to go on a lot of dates in the future! |
