Fall Herd Reduction means Good Deals!
I liked this 2025 kid crop a little too much and put too many on the keeper pile. Some very hard cuts are being made in the herd. Every single one of these goats I would happily keep.
I strongly prefer goats to go in pairs, as they transition so much better to their new homes. For that reason, I am offering a discount if you take two (or more) of the does together.

Fairy's dam Finale has the beautiful capacious mammary her mother is famous for. Fairy's sire, Phantom, is the sire of two of my three top producing Nigerians - his littermate sister is the third. They all easily milked over 4# as first fresheners, and as 2nd & 3rd fresheners, milked in the 5.5 - 6.5# range at their peak. Given that Phantom's dam Sans Gene Hermione has produced daughters with milk records test weights over 7# and one test of 8.2#, I suppose I should have expected these girls to have the work ethics! I would expect Fairy to as well; she has the long bone and deep, angular, open frame of a true dairy doe. Fairy is a gentle natured, sweet girl that loves getting handfed grain and treats. She's a very pretty and flashy black and white 2 year old with blue eyes, beautiful long bone pattern and a pleasing first freshening udder. She kidded easily and raised her twins with ease as well. DOB 6/7/2024 Sire: Redstone Nigel Gacrux *B Dam: Sans Gene EF Clementine ADGA Pedigree link: HERE Sweet Tootsie is a nice little first freshener who easily kidded out as a late yearling and raised her twins like she'd been doing it her whole life. Her kids were quite fancy and very friendly. Tootsie had plenty of milk for them, and while we didn't get to milk Tootsie but a few times due to life getting lifey this summer, we loved her very soft, elastic udder texture and nice teats. With a little practice being milked and gentle handling to build her confidence, she's going to be a superstar on the milkstand. She's a quiet doe who is loving and affectionate, best suited for a stay-at-home job raising beautiful kids for you, providing loads of delicious milk for your family, and keeping that pasture trimmed down and clear of blackberries. She does like her pets and wither scritches, and will politely request them by sidling up to you, gazing up at you soulfully. $350 for Tootsie with papers, will consider unregistered for $250. Pooky or Hyacinth were her maternity penmantes, and be an especially wonderful companion for her, and she is currently penned with Fairy and Lil Bean who she also does well with, so extra big package discount if Tootsie goes with any of these girls! Sans Gene PN Pennyroyal
DOB 4/13/2023 Sire: Sans Gene Phantom 309 Dam: Sans Gene STM Nightshade ADGA Pedigree: click HERE "Pooky" is a gold & white three year old who has freshened twice. She is an excellent mom and has raised triplets with ease. Pooky has a nicely shaped and attached udder with an especially nice foreudder, soft texture, and nice sized teats with great placement. She has an excellent rump, good width and depth, and good legs. She does not have great feet however, and needs to be on a regular trim schedule. She could have a better back and shoulders, though she does have a nice brisket and front leg placement. Pooky friendly and sociable, but she is very nervous on the milk stand. She was getting used to being milked and improving each time, but unfortunately I had to dry her off before she was fully comfortable with it. If she goes to a milking home, she needs someone gentle and patient with her who will not get upset when the bucket gets knocked over, stepped in, or inflations kicked off. She is fearful, not naughty! She responds extremely well to practice and patience. Pooky is $350 with registration papers or $250 without papers. Pooky can be exposed to one of my bucks for before leaving for a small fee. |
Homestead and Pet Quality Sweeties
We have a couple of pet quality purebred Nigerian does, as well as some does we've retired early from our breeding program, and would like them to have a second career as full-time amazing farm companions with occasional side-gigs as blackberry/brush control technicians. At times we also have does that while being good, solid does, we are willing to let go to good homestead/milking/companion homes at a lower cost with or without papers.
Non-breeding pet doe/doeling prices typically run $150-$250; homestead does/doelings are $200-$350 depending on whether they go with papers or not.

Hyacinth* - Hyacinth is a small colorful buckskin and white "tricolored" 4 year old doe. She is very gentle, sweet, and loving. She had a difficult and complicated kidding and has been retired from breeding and should not be bred again. She and Pooky and are best buddies and she gets along with Tootsie as well. She could also go with one or both of the two pet wethers I have left. Hyacinth is $150 as a non-breeding companion, goat cuddle giver, and blackberry muncher extraordinaire.

Elodie is a fancy 2yr old chamoise moonspotted doe that would never be for sale, except she unfortunately has a teat defect, which is why she is being offered unregistered. Elodie has an independent, quirky personality and often makes me laugh. She loves getting scritches! Elodie should be able to successfully nurse kids with her teat defect, but she would be a little challenging to milk though not impossible if you wanted to try. She is a bit bossy to Hyacinth and Tootsie, but does fine with Pooky. She'd do fine as a companion to one of the available doelings and yearlings, as well. Elodie is $200, or if she goes with another doe from my herd she is $150.

Scoot and Bo-Bear
I have two pet wether kids left that could not leave earlier this summer due to a variety of factors, but are now definitely ready to be somebody's farm besties. They are both bottle tame and friendly - Scoot, in particular, is extremely people oriented and needs a home where he gets lots of people interaction as well as a little bit more of secure pen (at leasts 4' tall fence for his main pen & stall area) or he will hop out to go hang out with his people. He also loves dogs, and happily plays with ours. Bo-Bear is a bit more laid back and while among the first to come see his people friends, get pets, and is happy to hang out by your side or maybe in your lap, he not quite as driven about it as Scoot is. They were both born at the end of April, and are disbudded, wethered, and up to date on vaccines and health care. Bo-bear is purebred Nigerian, and Scoot is mostly Nigerian with a touch of Lamancha, and should be the size of a larger Nigerian when grown. I'd like them to go together, but will consider selling separately to a home with goats (without horns please, and not as a penmate to a buck), or as a companion to one of the does offered above. Scoot is the only goat I've had in the 16 years we've been raising goats that I'd consider letting go to a home as a single goat, provided there is someone home most of the time who is happy to have Scoot hang out with them all day, and maybe a gentle livestock-safe dog for him to pal around with.
