Vigo as a yearling. He is a gentle soul, but always on the move. He finally stood still for a minute!

I originally planned to sell Vigo, but as I watched him grow, I realized this very correct young buckling had all the traits I was looking to combine in my herd. He's dairy. He has great conformation. He has a wide rump and nice thurls, and his escutcheon reminds me of a train tunnel it is so high and open. Love the ribbing and bone on this kid. The quality of udders and milk production genetics from both sire and dam sides are excellent. And, so far, he has produced the most consistent, nicest group of kids on our farm to date.
Well, I am sure glad I kept this boy! With just a few daughters on the ground, here are their accomplishments so far, their first year in the show ring: Sans Gene V Caramel Apples: Jr Grand Champion and Best Jr. Doe in Show, NWODGA, Salem OR 50+ and 150+ entries, respectively Sans Gene V Chloe: Reserve Jr Grand Champion (behind Caramel) Sans Gene Red Velvet Cake: 5th place intermediate kid at 2017 Washington State Fair (21 in her class, her first time shown)
and his full brother's daughter, Double Shot BB Wild Fire: Jr Grand Champion at 2017 WA State Fair. Loving the mammaries on the daughters I've freshened so far ~ cannot wait to get Caramel Apples in the show ring as a milker next year!

We are very excited to have had Elika, aka "Eli" join our herd this fall. A big thank you to our friends at E.K. Farms for entrusting him to us. Eli is a full brother to SGCH Castle Rock Angelika . The mammaries behind this boy speak for themselves. Eli is very long and level across the topline, and smooth and flat thurl to thurl. He has nice straight front legs, beautiful angulation in his rear legs, and good feet. Eli is only two, and already very pleasing to the eye. We are excited to see him mature further. We think he is going to be an excellent cross with our does.

Arthur came to us in January 2017, in a joint effort with my good friends at R Serenity Farms. I long admired his sire Doenut but missed out when Doenut came up for sale. Doenut's sire, Copperfield, was a full brother to Jasmine's sire, Riot. I am also well acquainted with Arthur's dam Spice, having admired her many times in the show ring, as well as his half sister, SGCH Blythmoor Samse. Given the number of +B, *B, *M, and SG's & GCH's filling this guys pedigree, Arthur has a whole lot to offer. Arthur himself is exceedingly correct in his general appearance, being both very wide, level and strong - especially through the rump - while sharp and angular. He has great feet and legs, placed well under him. I think he has one of the nicest heads I've ever seen on any dairy goat. I am very proud to add this boy to our buck lineup, and he will be getting lots of work here and at his other home at R Serenity Farms.
Standing square. Yes, he really is that wide through the hips, and he puts that on his kids, too.

Doppler Effect, aka "Doppi" is one of those sought-after Nigerian bucks who consistently improves rump structure and width. He also regularly improves strength and depth of body without losing dairiness, brisket extension along with depth and levelness of chest floor, and his offpsring have shown us correctness in rear and front leg sets. Doppi's daughter's have very capacious udders, strongly attached particularly in rear and fore, with good teat placement and size. They milk well, and udders are very soft and teats easy to milk.
Doppi will likely get his *B this year. I had hoped to get Doppi collected this year, but unfortunately that fell through. We will try again next year, he is definitely "tank worthy!"
Sans Gene DE On The Bayou, aka George, as a yearling. He has grown even longer and more level since then.

George is an awesome guy; long and sharp and dairy with his dam's sweet, gentle disposition. I love the rump structure on this buck, wide with length and level across the thurls. Excellent feet and legs too. He is full sibling to Sans Gene DE Delta Blues VVEE 89. Unfortunately I have yet to get a decent picture of him. He very much favors his dam Zydeco, pictured below.

Stormy at 12 months old, caught mid-blubber. He does love the girls.
I wish Stormy wasn't quite so fluffed up in this picture, he is quite angular under all that hair! We do love that pretty head.
Udder picture of Firefly, Stormy's dam.

Dam: Sans Gene K Firefly 4*M (pending) VVEV 88 (Poppy Patch HB Evel Knievel LA 90 x GCH Pholia Farm HB Flicker 3*M VEVE 90)
Firefly, Stormy's dam, despite being one of the smallest does in my herd, is among the milkiest. Milked twice a day she easily produced at or even over half a gallon. Stormy's sire, Doppler Effect, is throwing really nice mammaries and conformation, improving rumps, teat length, and general appearance while maintaining dairy strength. Stormy looks a lot like his dad, with just a touch more refinement, and a sweet, gentle temperament.
Firefly had a horrendous kidding in 2016, resulting in an emergency C-section. She was saved, but sustained extensive damage to her reproductive system, and was partially paralyzed for weeks afterward. Nevertheless, she demanded to be milked despite all of that, and happily produced enough to earn her milk star before work schedules forced us to dry her off early. She even beat her dam Flicker for day-t0-day volume. She then went on to score VVEV 88 on appraisal only 3 months after her surgery!
Stormy is her only buck kid, and we are extremely grateful to have him to carry on Fly's legacy.
"McB" is a full sibling to CH Sans Gene K Zydeco. He is 4 months old here.
Sans Gene Chicory Coffee DOB
Sire: Sans Gene GT Doppler Effect VEE 88
Dam: Caprinos TMM Lucienne 2*M
McB was the runt in a little of quads, weighing just 1.5 lbs at birth. Tiny mite though he was, he still had that extra-special something. It didn't take long to see he was had the same qualities that make his older sister, GCH Sans Gene K Zydeco EEEV 90 so special. We are hoping he will put stamp his kids with the same exceptional structure and beautiful mammaries.
McB's a very friendly buck, which makes taking pictures of him a challenge unless you want nose-in-the-camera shots. McB gets his barn name from a very special place, McBride Elementary School. McB needed a lot of TLC his first few days of life. The wonderful principal and staff at McBride helped make it possible for McB to get what he needed, and so he was named in the school's honor.
